The most recent figures (2005) indicate that UK aviation counts for 13% of all UK carbon emissions (this figure excludes all international arrivals). Carbon emissions from aviation are set to rise exponentially over the next few years, therefore, we believe that the implications for climate change must be taken into account before any further expansion at Belfast City Airport is considered.
